Wild at Heart Energy Healing is excited to share that Reiki has been established as an alternative healing method approved for reimbursement if you are using a FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) for healthcare support.
As a company we are not allowed to process direct payments from FSA and HSA unless we are licensed as a medical facility. Wild at Heart Energy Healing is not a licensed medical facility and falls under alternative healers within the western medical perspective.
Alternative healers are considered support services offering modalities that can ease physical, mental and emotional pain from various short term or long term medical diagnosis. Alternative healers generally require a written LMN (letter of medical necessity) in order to be authorized for brief or sustained treatment. The LMN is provided by your doctor and outlines a medical diagnosis. Examples of diagnosis that can be treated by Reiki are physical issues that are related to pain and pain management. As well as emotional conditions like PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders and conditions that need nervous system support for regulation and reduction of stress. Once the LMN is received we can create a plan of treatment for you which generally has a certain amount of sessions allowed. Upon completing the treatments you will receive a Superbill from us that details the treatment and this is what is submitted for reimbursement.
There are a few steps to take and some effort to put forth in order to make this work, however, Wild at Heart Energy Healing is open to communicating about the benefits and treatment plans available with any doctor you work with who seeks understanding and collaboration. We are happy to work together to create the most supportive and comprehensive healthcare possible.
Please note that the reimbursement protocol may vary with the accounts you are using and the institution which distributes the monies. It is your responsibility to verify that your particular group allows Reiki and that you can be reimbursed and/or withdraw cash to pay for your services. You are encouraged to read the articles posted on the FSA and HSA official sites for further information.
